Nature

In the north you walk through neat beech woodland and get a hint of a view over the water. Then you pass a longer stretch lined by planted spruce woodland and very straight forestry tracks. To the south you enter into Fulltofta Recreation Area with a varied vegetation and terrain. The camp site at Bjeveröd is nestled in between woodland and more open areas. Nearby you can find a river to paddle in and a fish pond.

Cultural History

Onsvalakällan was thought to be the place where "heathens" congregated after a battle. Perhaps it got its name because it was a place where Odin was worshipped? Or from Odin's swallow (svala = swallow), which was in fact the black stork and used to nest around the spring?
The land here belonged to the Qvesarum estate which had its heyday in the latter part of the 1800s, when the hunting master of the Danish Royal Court lived here. Along the Trail there are ruins of the old crofts on the estate and a small quarry.
Next to the camp site at Bjeveröd you can find the remains of Bjeveröd farm with a flourmill, sawmill and a small distillery.
